there are actually 2 places to store information in a person.
the mind AND the heart.
happy memories go to the heart.
textbook information goes to the mind.
the mind easily forgets but the heart always remembers.
that is why happy memories are more often easier to remember than textbook information.
if one has passion for what he is pursuing, he can remember his facts (eg. to be a doctor, he remembers symptoms and drug names) because he stores these in his heart.
to be passionate about something is to do that thing with your heart.
