love contract has far more substance than DBY and ISWAK.
the interpretation of the ending by someone made it all the more awesome.
and the song gu dan bei ban qiu has taken on a whole new meaning.
haha. cant imagine that the ariel lin version has been sitting in my mp3 player for 1 year plus and i didnt know it originated from this show till now.
almost all the korean/tw shows paint such a pretty picture of love.
but unfortunately it is not the case in real life.
i better stop daydreaming about the perfect guy cuz he aint gonna exist.
HAHA.

May France win later! =)

SPOILER. PLEASE DONT ATTEMPT TO READ ON IF YOU'RE INTENDING TO WATCH.

[Quote burles]I think the first and second endings were real - though can't figure out why the director made the wheelchair and Xiao Feng's blanket fade away. Xiao Feng could always hear what people were saying - she just couldn't respond. But, due to her personality, which the rest of the series sort of set up as pretty strong, she finally broke through her coma when Ah Ken carried her to the ocean. I think he really would have gone through with the suicide if XF didn't wake up. But luckily, in my interpretation, he didn't have to cus she really did wake up, and they really did made it back to the beach to start a long happy life together. The fact that they could be together was foreshadowed by Mu Tao making some comment about how they still had a long road to travel and Ah Ken was fighting against all the shadows trying to bury them.
In the third ending, they say "we're back here again." I think this means that they are back in heaven - that's why the last ending is shot all misty. I say "back" because I think the angel dream XF had when she was comatose was actually her remembering a previous life or something. All the stuff throughout the series about myths and the Chinese legend of the herder and the seamstress ties together. They loved, were forced apart, then were finally allowed to meet to love again. After they've lived their long life, they returned to heaven in the form of the happiest moment of their life (when they got married). The reason all their friends (including Xiao Bai) are there is because they've all died, too, and now they finally get the chance to all be together again. Can't figure out the blue sheets of paper - but maybe that has something to do with the Chinese thing of burning tributes to dead loved ones.[/unquote]
