i have always wondered what the "Look Up. Lift Up" in my primary school's (PLMGPS) motto means. still remember that in the past my mum always joked about it.
haha. and i didn't really bother to find out.
or maybe i wasn't really listening when the teachers were educating us about it.
recently, i was again wondering what it means (but still didn't check it out)

but during cell today, we talked about Psalm 121.

Psalm 121
A Song of Ascents.

1I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;
From where shall my help come?
2My help comes from the LORD,
Who made heaven and earth.
3He will not allow your foot to slip;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
4Behold, He who keeps Israel
Will neither slumber nor sleep.
5The LORD is your keeper;
The LORD is your shade on your right hand.
6The sun will not smite you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
7The LORD will protect you from all evil;
He will keep your soul.
8The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in
From this time forth and forever.

remember that the first time i heard about this Psalm was during one of the tribe meetings early last yr. Ps Jo was sharing about how the LORD watches over each and every one of us throughout the day. how God doesn't need to sleep and how he will protect us.

then somehow i realised that it is seems to be what my primary school motto seems to mean.
and i just went to check it out. & lo & behold, it really refers to Psalm 121:1-2...

here!

We look up to God for help and guidance,
as well as for directions in our lives,
as we aim for greater heights of achievements.

We lift up our eyes unto the Lord from whom we receive help to face life's trials and tribulations.

I lift up my eyes to the hills- where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

yup. i finally can appreciate the motto (: what a meaningful motto!

anyway my dad recorded the 9pm show's last episode for me just now.
and the dvd was slightly defective it seems. almost couldn't watch the very last part of the show! but yay, after opening and closing the driver it managed to work. =)
this show is kinda like there will be blood in the local context. haha. like how greed will overwhelm Man...
zhu hou ren is appearing for fc's hokkien/canto service. cool!
