Tuesday, June 9 ♥ 14:44 let's talk about my dorm! the dorms are separated by sex so girls stay at areum hall while the guys stay at somang hall which is just beside ours. the shower room has four cubicles separated by frosty glass and shower curtains so it's not very private... =S there are 2 washing machines and dryer use is 1000won. (which is around 1.20SGD) the toilets are not very clean either. haha, the school being the best in korea, should have better toilet facilities!! the only thing high-class about the dorm is that we use card keys to open the room doors, like in hotels. my favourite chore is washing clothes, just like in NTU. because all i have to do is to dump the clothes in the washing machine, add some powder and tada, the clothes smell nice. LOL. the nearest hall cafeteria is 2 halls away from areum hall. the road is lined with trees. we call them berry trees because they have some purple-coloured berry fruit which always fall on the floor. more often than not, we will kena berry juice on our feet! haha. the food at the cafeteria isnt very nice but at least it is cheaper than dining outside. the best types of foods are the fried least korean-style ones. like fried fish cutlet, fried chicken nuggets (think old chang kee). (this sounds like primary school composition!) the classroom block (or rather the school of humanities and social sciences where we have our korean classes) is pretty nice though... looks more professional as compared to NTU's. and our prof's hobby is to switch the aircon on/off throughout the lesson.... my exam is earlier than expected so we can play for the rest of the time that we are here!! :) |
